Interactive IPA provides a unique interactive demonstration of phonetics, offering an effective and exciting way to learn the International Phonetic Alphabet. The app, developed and voiced by Paul Meier, brings over 40 years of expertise as a theatre professor specializing in voice, speech, accents, dialects, and phonetics. Holding a first-class Certificate of Proficiency from the International Phonetic Association, Meier is acclaimed as a renowned dialect coach for theatre and film and a seasoned voice-over artist with numerous commercial and audio book credits.

Meier's collaboration with renowned directors, such as Oscar winner Ang Lee, underscores his invaluable contribution to maintaining dialects and ensuring clear speech in various productions. Lee himself acknowledges Meier's exceptional skill in enhancing the language elements in films through speech, voice, and dialect.

In addition to the official IPA charts, Interactive IPA introduces an exclusive chart devised by Meier featuring diphthongs and triphthongs of American and British English. The app's design by Scott Means is based on the official charts of the International Phonetics Association combined with an original interactive layout by Eric Armstrong.
